Clean Beauty Gift Guide: SKINCARE

Clean Beauty Gift Guide: SKINCARE

The beginning of beautiful makeup starts with a well rounded, consistent skincare routine, which is why I separated my Clean Beauty Gift Guide: Makeup from this post! Skincare in itself shouldn't be an afterthought. Check out my top picks for clean skincare that you should try out today. Note, this post does contain affiliate links, which help to support this blog.

Acure Organics Facial Cleansing Gel

Acure Organics has undoubtedly become one of the most well known, safe, and accessible skin care brands in the world; the pricepoint is attainable for everyone, too. I enjoy this cleanser for two reasons: 1) In the morning, it gives me a wonderful fresh, effervescent boost, and 2) it doesn't dry out my skin like most cleansers, while concurrently washing away makeup, grime, oil, etc. As an added bonus, it does well on all skin types even sensitive ones.

Beautycounter Cleansing Balm

I started using this a month or so ago after a long period of hesitation and I have to say it's a different, wonderful way to cleanse (outside of traditional, sudsy cleansers!). The product literally melts into your skin, and after which, it leaves you skin feeling nourished and supple . The balm is paired with a muslin cloth to help remove makeup, dirt, oil, and grime. Additionally, the balm doubles as an intense hydration mask for when your skin is feeling a bit on the dry side. Don't believe me? Try this balm out for yourself with a sixty day money back guarantee. Shop here!

Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser

While I'm not using this facial cleanser currently, it has definitely been one of my top choices in skincare over the years. Most over the counter cleansers have harsh ingredients or intense acids that strip the skin or exacerbate issues - not this cleanser! Gentle enough for everyday use, the Radiance Facial Cleanser from Burt's Bees softens skin, removes makeup, and leaves your skin feeling happy and refreshed. Great for sensitive skin as well as all skin types, too!

Beautycounter Nourishing Rosewater Mist

There is something innately romantic and luxurious about rosewater spray. While this mist was formulated to tone the skin, it can also be used to refresh the skin throughout the day, to prep the skin before makeup, or to set the skin after makeup. I love a multi-use product that all of the ladies in your life will certainly appreciate, too. Never leave home without it!

Burt's Bees Tomato Toner

I remember using this toner when I was younger, and it completely changed the way my skin felt. Burt's Bees Tomato Toner helps to even out and balance skin before applying moisturizer or makeup. It's great for all skin types, too, but to be safe always do a test strip before use. PS. It's an economical option that can be found at most beauty or drugstores -- you know how I love easy accessibility!

Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner

Oily skin girls, please rejoice! While my skin isn't entirely oily, I am definitely becoming a combination skin the older I get. Incorporating an alcohol-free toner into my skin care routine helps my skin to feel less slick and shiny. I don't use a toner everyday, but when I do choose to tone (say in the middle of the day, after a workout), it leaves my skin feeling invigorated and clean. Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner is highly effective and comes in other scents, too, like Lavender and Unscented.

Beautycounter Rejuvenating Eye Cream

This eye cream has achieved cult status in my mind! It is the ever popular, anti-aging Rejuvenating eye cream from Beautycounter. A creamy, rich, and decadent formula helps to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, and undereye discoloration. I use this cream twice daily and can always tell an immense difference in puffiness, tightness, and dark circles. If you treat yourself with one thing this holiday season, I would recommend this eye cream!

Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Facial Oil

Isn't this the coolest looking face oil? Much like the Balancing Face Oil I feature below, this Lapis Face Oil is formulated to clarify the skin, reduce redness, and curtail inflammation through a combination of ingredients, including the blue oil, Azulene. Can you tell what problems I seem to have with my skin? I highly recommend this oil for combination, severe acne, or inflamed skin types. Use it alone of mix it with your ideal moisturizer for optimal hydration.

Beautycounter No. 3 Balancing Facial Oil

I don't know what I was doing with my life before I started using face oils, but I will tell you they are a game changer. Face oils can be worn alone or in combination with your favorite moisturizer. The Balancing face oil that I've chosen to feature has really helped to calm my skin down. This oil features Chamomile and Meadowform Seed oils that aid in soothing the skin and restoring balance. Since using this, my skin is definitely a lot less red, upset, and inflamed. I will never go back to using just moisturizer! If you feel like you need more Plumping in the skin or a bit of Brightening, Beautycounter has you covered there, too.

Burt's Bee Intense Hydration Day Lotion

I've been a big fan of Burt's products for years, which is why you'll likely always find at least one of their products on any of my clean product favorites (and they are local to Raleigh-Durham, where I live!). Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion is an optimal choice for ladies who suffer with chronic dry skin or for those of us who tend to get a bit drier during the winter season. I typically use this on a majority of my clients, because it makes the skin emollient and radiant prior to makeup being applied, and I can buy it practically anywhere! Win-win!

Beautycounter Multi-Masker Set

A holiday gift set that won't last long, this Multi-Masker set from Beautycounter gifts you a travel size of each of their popular masks, including: Plumping, Brightening, and Balancing. I think this is a wonderful alternative to purchasing just one mask over another, because our skin reacts and feels different at various times of the year depending on the life season we are in. My favorite is definitely the Balancing mask, but really you can't go wrong with any of them. As a cute addition, you also receive a mask brush to apply your mask like a pro. If you happen to shop Beautycounter, be sure to use my direct link here.

Herbivore Botanicals Pink Clay Exfoliating Mask

Herbivore Botanicals is certainly known for it's luxury in the clean beauty world. Their Pink Clay Mask gives the skin a little TLC whenever you need it most, or what I like to call a little pick me up. The exfoliating mask helps to remove dead skin cells while also soften and brighten the skin. You can use it during a night in or before heading out to meet friends, it's that gentle and perfect for all skin types. I cannot wait to try more of their products!

Lo and Behold Coconut + Rose Hip Face Mask

Local to Durham, North Carolina, Lo and Behold Natural Body Care has a series of affordable, high performing face masks! I really enjoy the Coconut & Rosehip Moisturizing Face Mask, which leaves my skin feeling healthy and nourished. Each small packet contains 3-5 masks coming in at around $2-3 per mask. Say what?! You should go follow them on Instagram right now and pick up masks for yourself and your gal pals. Did I mention how lovely this mask smells, too?

Acure Organics Brightening Scrub

This scrub is unlike your traditional face scrubs on the market. Many commercial scrubs contain micro-beads that cause micro tears and scrapes in the skin. On the contrary, Acure Organics scrub is made with lemon peel granules for a delicate sloughing of the skin. Indeed this product is perfect for all skin types, too. Use once or twice weekly or as needed for glowing, radiant skin!

Beautycounter Instant Eye Makeup Remover

Do you know that feeling when you use an eye makeup remover or wipe that totally burns and irritates the skin? Yeah, me too. Beautycounter's Instant Eye Makeup Remover is formulated unlike any other eye makeup remover to take care of even the most waterproof of cosmetics. A combination of coconut and macadamia oils help this makeup remover to be gentle, yet effective. It is also safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers per their website.

Acure Organics Unscented Argan Oil Makeup Remover Wipes

Back to the days of burning, stinging makeup wipes - well, no more! I love using these wipes on clients, because they are unscented, mild, and effectual in removing makeup, dirt, oil, etc. Most other commercial wipes I have had problems with, but never the ones from Acure Organics. These wipes coming in a couple other formulas as well depending on your skin type.

Spectrum Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Unrefined

You've heard me say this before, but coconut oil can be used in tandem as an amazing makeup remover and moisturizer (plus, you can cook with it!). Coconut oil removes the toughest of tough waterproof eyeliners, cream eyeshadows, lip stains, and mascaras. Every woman should keep coconut oil on hand at home even if just for cooking or baking.
